Your Choice of Two Types of Self Managed Superannuation Funds to suit your requirements
A Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) is one with no more than four members which satisfies the following conditions.
(a) all individual trustees must be a member of the fund. (b) all directors of a corporate trustee must be members of the fund. (c) each member must be an individual trustee or a director of a corporate trustee of the fund.
Employer-Sponsored Fund -Principal Employer/Employee relationship
This is a fund established by a trust deed executed by a principal employer and the trustee. The fund is managed by the trustee with certain approvals being required by the Principal employer and the fund is linked to that principal employer.
Personal Fund -Portable to the member being either Self Employed or where the employer is likely to change
This is a fund established by a trust deed executed by the trustee and which is open by application by any gainfully employed person to become a member. The fund is normally comprised of members of the same family or members of a business partnership. Employers of any member may apply to the trustee to join the fund as a contributor for an individual member.
